WCF to bring the international StarT program from Finland to Vietnam

Since the school year 2021-2022, the Representative Office of WCF in Vietnam has partnered with LUMA Centre Finland to implement the national competition under the StarT program to Vietnam.

StarT is a long-term programme owned and implemented by LUMA Centre Finland, a network of Finnish science and technology universities (13 universities in total). Since 2016, StarT has been an important part of the yearly action plan of LUMA Centre Finland. Through StarT, LUMA Centre Finland aims to promote a new, interdisciplinary and collaborative StarT way of working and thinking in schools and kindergartens.

StarT mainly exits in the form of an exciting and encouraging competition. StarT Competition invites schools, kindergartens, extracurricular activity groups, and families, as well as other interested institutions and groups, including the media, to join us in sharing the joy of collaborative learning! It has two categories:

  1. Interdisciplinary learning projects by children and youngsters (3-19 years old)

  2. Best educational practices by educators (teachers, instructors, parents…)

Everyone can participate annually by reporting their work in the form of short videos and concise learning diaries (Project Category) or short videos and comprehensive written descriptions (Best Practice Category).
