Two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Jan 25, 2021 at National College for Education, Ha Noi, Vietnam which focuses on cooperation in education and training at early childhood education level.
Attending the ceremony, from NCE, were Assoc. Prof. Tran Dinh Tuan, the Rector; Dr. Trinh Thi Xim, Vice-Rector; and leaders and teachers of other Departments and Faculties. Representing WCF were Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Dieu, Chief Representative in Vietnam while Mr. Pasi Toiva, Managing Director joined virtually from Finland. The ceremony was witnessed by different stakeholders: the Embassy of Finland in Vietnam, Business Finland, University of Turku, UNICEF Vietnam and good standing educational experts.
In his welcome remark, Assoc. Prof. Tran Dinh Tuan introduced the history and achievements of NCE as well as the college's main role of educating early childhood educators of Vietnam. He emphasized its task of researching and bringing innovative early childhood education models to Vietnam, of which Finnish education model receives huge interest in Vietnam.
Accordingly, His Excellency Ambassador Kari Kahilouto of the Embassy of Finland to Vietnam delivered a speech on key characteristics of Finnish early childhood education: nurturing children who are happy, healthy and cherish the joy of learning throughout their lives; teachers play the most important role in making preschool education fun, effective and unique. He explained that Finnish people have initiated over the years a number of novel and simple changes that have completely revolutionized their educational system, which helps make their education good quality. By witnessing the MoU signing ceremony, he congratulated the cooperation between WCF and NCE and expressed his and the Embassy's support for WCF, other Finnish organizations in Vietnam and our Vietnamese partners.

To continue, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Dieu, Chief Representative of WCF in Vietnam expressed her strong belief in hard work and collective effort of all stakeholders that lead to success in educational programs and their cooperation with NCE. A deep gratitude was expressed to all people who are part of this cooperation journey.
Ensuing the signing ceremony, the delegation visited the Support Center for Inclusive Education Development and ended the tour at Hoa Thuy Tien Kindergarten of NCE.
