Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS), the first Finnish styled K-12 international school in Southeast Asia, is looking for top-line Finnish educators to work as Primary and Secondary Principals, Class Teachers, Subject Teachers and Special Needs Teachers (Grade 1 to 9) from the next school year 2020-2021.
Its inception started in 2015 and after 4 years of planning and preparation, VFIS was officially inaugurated in August 2019. The opening of VFIS is a meaningful achievement marking not only a collective effort by the investor but also an ongoing support by many governmental organisations, top-notch educational and consultation agencies in both Finland and Vietnam.
The school is located in Ho Chi Minh city, the most vibrant metropolitan area and the business hub of Vietnam. It has embraced timely global trends in teaching and learning, while inheriting Finnish education excellence and Vietnamese educational and cultural heritages as a harmonised convergence. Finnish National Core Curriculum is adopted in the school in adaptation with Vietnamese and global contexts.
Teachers from Finland have also played an important role at VFIS. They are expected to deliver an excellent education to its students of diverse nationalities, to collaborate effectively with Vietnamese and other international teachers, and together, to build a sustainable and dynamic learning community at VFIS. Everyone at VFIS shares a vision of a human-driven school that reflects four core values: Vitality – Flexibility – Inclusion – Sisu! With such a huge contribution, teachers are promised a competitive compensation package and a highly supportive working environment.
